great access to museums and scenic trails for city explorers

I loved how we could easily stroll to the Cripple Creek District Museum, just about 4 km away, and enjoy the beautiful views while hiking at Little Grouse Mountain Trailhead, which is only a short drive from the hotel, making it perfect for walking enthusiasts like me.

    Does it deliver?

Crisp cleanliness and a warm welcoming atmosphere uplifted my stay. The staff shared fascinating historical insights and breakfast burritos were memorable, setting a delightful tone for the day.

Some features were lacking, limited parking and confusion during check-in detracted from the charm.

    vintage vibes
    clean room
    cozy bed
    no elevator
    room access difficulties

The room was really unique, decorated with vintage vibes from when it was a hospital. Super clean, and the bed was cozy. It had cool antique furnishings, which made it feel like a step back in time. The only downside was that it didn’t have an elevator, so be ready to carry your bags up. Still, it was a neat experience overall!

Finding this charming place was a delightful surprise! Rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable, and the breakfast from the food truck is not to be missed. However, there was a loud front desk staff member that interrupted some rest. Overall a lovely stay with accommodating staff!

An Unforgettable Stay in Cripple Creek!

My wife and I relished our two-night stay, where the ambiance felt like stepping into a charming museum. The staff's warm hospitality made us feel at home, and their attention to cleanliness is impeccable. Don’t miss the beautiful Solarium, perfect for morning coffee! Highly recommend exploring the beautiful surroundings.

During our stay to explore the nearby Mollie Kathleen Gold Mine, we enjoyed the historical charm and beautifully furnished antique decor throughout the property. The breakfast burritos from the food cart were delicious and added a nice touch to our mornings. It was also nice that we could easily walk into town to explore. The only downside was that parking could be a bit challenging, especially for guests with mobility issues.

    some noise

Our family had a wonderful stay! The hotel has so much character and is full of history, which the kids found really fascinating. Our room was spacious, with a private bathroom and a small kitchenette that made it easy to prepare snacks for the kids. The staff were incredibly friendly, always willing to help and share local tips. The kids loved the breakfast from the food truck across the street, the fresh cinnamon rolls were a big hit!

The walls are a bit thin, so we could hear some noise from adjoining rooms.

Staying here was a blast! We loved relaxing in the garden area and chilling out in the leisure room, just soaking in the unique vibes. The only thing I'd note is that the room curtains could use a little updating, but it didn't drag down our awesome experience one bit. 🌼
